Earlier this year, we donated fertile Coturnix quail hatching eggs to Ormskirk West End Primary School in Lancashire to support their Year 6 quail hatching project - giving pupils the chance to hatch, raise, and care for Coturnix quail, some for the very first time.
What arrived in return were letters from the children and their own drawings of the quail they were so excited to welcome.
It is a small thing on paper. But for the children in that class who are not allowed animals at home, it was something else entirely.
